David Lewallen
David Lewallen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1996. Prior to graduation, he worked as an intern at Texas Instruments in the Defense Systems and Electronics group as well as the Semiconductor Manufacturing group.
Upon graduation, he worked as the electrical system engineer for multiple TI factories before moving to the TI Dallas area High Voltage team. David was the Dallas area high voltage team engineer and subject matter expert supporting all of TI worldwide site for 13 years.
David has a deep background in high voltage controls, industrial networking and SCADA monitoring for large scale systems. He is an expert in design, maintenance and operation ofcritical power systems. He was involved in numerous worldwide site assessments identifying system reliability issues and recommending improvements prior to manufacturing interruptions. He was the leading TI support for all root cause investigations of electrical interruption events.
David was an integral part of the Richardson FAB 2 project, providing the overall 138kV and 15kV distribution design and utility engineering interface as well as commissioning support of the project.
Because of his 29-year career at Texas Instruments, David understands the need for quality equipment providers and has helped make improvements with even the most reliable manufacturers. He believes that reliable power starts with quality equipment, proper installation and good safety and maintenance practices. David holds the position of Outside Sales Associate for Keasler Associates.
